This review is for this particular Panda Express. If I was rating all Panda Express, it would probably still get only 2 stars. I was craving some crab rangoon and Panda Express is pretty good as far as drive thru crab rangoon can go. Upon ordering, I thought I was a little more hungry. I got a kids meal of beef broccoli with steamed veggies and a side order of crab rangoon. I was only the second in line but it took a good 5-7 minutes for my order to be taken. Once it was, it was wrong. The crab rangoon was not in the bag. I pulled around and went inside only to discover that most of the food under the warmers was looking not so fresh. I still took my meal home and thought it was ok but not worth another stop. (side note: their website has nutritional values which is a plus)

I find the food at all locations to be consistently good. This particular location the friendly service is exceptional - something you don't see at very many fast food places, except maybe Chic-Fil-A. Thumbs up to the friendly staff!

I am really picky about Chinese food (probably because the only times I've ever had food poisoning, it's been the culprit) so when I give a place like Panda four stars there is a reason. say what you will about Panda. the food there isn't always good. and yes it is pretty Americanized (I will never understand the love people have for Orange Chicken). but I've been here three times now and it has always been good. I typically order "wok smart" items = they aren't deep fried and usually include vegetables and get half steamed veggies and half chow mein for the side. a bowl is plenty for lunch. at this location, the food is always good. the chicken string bean and kobari beef are both good. they also steam the veggies to order. the staff is also friendly and accommodating. if an item is almost empty, they will cook more and bring it out to you if you're dining in. I also love that they have a drive-thru. great if you have a fussy/sleeping baby in the car and don't want to get out. I did that today and my order was exactly as it would have been had I gone inside. it really is better than a lot of other Chinese restaurants in town and definitely cheaper!

I didn't eat here. I was going to eat here, but I had been in the car all morning and was going to have a bit of a pit stop before ordering... there wasn't one, single paper product in the bathroom. I went out and told the girl at the counter and she went in and put out two rolls of TP and went back to work (note: WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS). Maybe she washed her hands once she got back behind the counter, but even if you're just entering the bathroom briefly, I think a good scrub is in order. I left.

Tried a Panda Express in Topeka KS, food there wasn't good. Thought I would give this one a try, it wasn't any better. Good at both locations was not good. Chinese at a local grocery stores is 10 times better!

Ugh. The McDonald's of chinese food -- cheap, low quality, consistent, but nothing you'd actually seek out if you didn't need to grab a bite in a hurry. Last night's Orange Chicken bowl featured tough, chewy chicken & undercooked, tasteless noodles. Wasn't worth it when there are so many other choices nearby.

This PE is not very busy, it is not very fast compared to busier locations. I think they make most of the food to order as opposed to sitting. I guess I'd prefer waiting to old food. Quality is the same as other PE. I like their steamed veggies, crab rangoon, broccoli beef, honey seared shrimp, some of the other stuff is fine.

Panda Express isn't my favorite. It feels like imitation Chinese and that I'm getting cheated somehow. Also it seems a touch more Americanized. That said the service I experienced at this location has been fantastic. When almost out they'll make up a new batch and have offered compensation once or twice for this a well. (I prefer veggies vs the rice) More then courteous. It was a nice place for lunch when I took classes nearby.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
